We are grateful and honored that we have been standing on the shoulders of giants K2 HR ServicesmHub – The Mental Health HubSolidMinds Rwanda.

Over the past two days, we’ve had the privilege to be part of a workshop on mental health in the workplace, surrounded by HR managers, Directors, and other changemakers.

🌱 Be the Change:
Transformation begins within ourselves. Prioritizing our own mental health enables us to support others effectively. Let’s start by acknowledging our emotions, being aware of our own stigma.
Then you can encourage your employees to seek for mental health support without feeling ashamed or frightened.

πŸ”„ Break the Spiral:
It only takes one person, and time, to break the cycle of toxicity.

🧠 Emotional Intelligence:
Self-awareness is key to facilitating open dialogue.

πŸ’‘ Vulnerability is Power:
Contrary to popular belief, vulnerability is not a weakness but a source of strength. The inability to be vulnerable is a trauma response!!!

πŸ€—  Empathy Matters:
While HR and managers may not diagnose mental illness, empathy is a fundamental tool in supporting employees. Remember, if you can’t feel empathy, THINK empathy.

πŸ™‰  Listen to your body:
Acknowledge that our bodies often speak what our words cannot. Be mindful, and don’t be ashamed to acknowledge any consistent body discomfort and seek for help.

-There is a difference between Emotions and feelings!! Indeed there is!!
-Trauma is not a bad thing! It’s how we process it that makes it bad.
